Edward J. Rosasco, FACHE
Specialty Principal – Hospital/Organizational Planning and Management

Edward Rosasco is a career healthcare executive and academician nationally recognized for his operations leadership and health policy vision.

He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Hospital, Miami, Florida for 18 years “retiring” in 2001. Within weeks of retirement, he was appointed Director of the Department of Health Administration and Policy at the University of Miami, a position he held for four years. He continues in consulting, teaching, product representation and governance appointments.

Prior to his appointment at Mercy Hospital, he held positions of leadership at three New York teaching hospitals: Nassau County Medical Center, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, and The Brooklyn Hospital where he served as Executive Director for three years.

He has enjoyed faculty appointments throughout his career; they include Columbia University and The George Washington University. His work has attracted numerous board appointments of note including his election as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Florida Hospital Association and appointment to the prestigious Professional and Technical Advisory Committee of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations where he represented the American Hospital Association.

He has received the Award of Merit of the Florida Hospital Association, the Regent Award of Excellence of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Healthcare Hero’s recognition of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Ed received an MBA in Healthcare Administration from The George Washington University, and a BS in Public Accounting from Syracuse University. He served as a Captain in Medical Service Corps of the United States Air Force.
